We understand that school obligations might prevent swimmers from making all the afternoon practices and that the summer is busy with vacations and camps. While we know that the more practices swimmers attend, the more progress they will make, having to miss a few practices is completely normal! You do NOT need to let the coaches know if your swimmer will be absent from practice.

Swimmers ages 4-8 will require a parent/adult on deck during all practices. Swimmers ages 9 & up may be dropped off/picked up from practice.

Afternoon Practices: May 6th – May 21st

Morning Practices: May 23rd – June 25^th

*Rookie practices begin May 28th

No practice will be held on:

May 22^nd (Last Day of School for Cobb County)

May 27^th (Memorial Day)

Hey Dolphin families,

We are so excited for another Windsor Oaks swim season! Last year was such a blast with our massive team, incredible coaches, spirited squads, and yet another undefeated season! This year we look forward to another fun summer participating with the Cobb Summer Swim League to compete in swim meets against other neighborhoods.

We know everyone is eager to plan summer camps and vacations - meet dates will be posted on February 16th. Practice times will be posted as soon as we have a headcount after registration. Meanwhile, the board is busy hiring coaches, planning our practice schedule, menu planning, and designing t-shirts to make sure that our swimmers have another great season!

Preseason information will be posted on our website, as it becomes available, so check back often!

Due to the popularity of our team and the league's roster limitations, registration will open in 3 phases, beginning February 22nd. Priority will be given first to Windsor Oaks/Creekside Oaks residents, and then to families who have previously swum with our team, before opening it up to the public. Registration is only available online and is not considered complete until payment is received.

Mark your calendars for our 2024 registration dates:

Thursday, February 22nd: Open for Windsor Oaks and Creekside Oaks resident swimmers ages 3-12 and all swimmers ages 13-18

Thursday, February 29th: Open for swimmers ages 3-12 who have previously swum with WOST and all swimmers ages 13-18

Thursday, March 7:Open for all swimmers in the community ages 3-18

* Be sure to register as early as possible so that you secure a spot on the team as limits have been set for each age group for the safety and supervision of our swimmers. If your swimmer's age group is full, you will be directed to a site where you can choose to be added to our waitlist. Registration will close on April 22nd or sooner, if capacity has been reached.

Registration Fees for the 2024 season.

• $135/per swimmer (ages 4-12), $10 sibling discount for each additional swimmer (ages 4-12)
• $40/per swimmer (ages 13-18), no sibling discount
• Additional $20/per family for non-Windsor Oaks residents

Registration fees include a team shirt and swim cap if registered by April 21st.

You can pay by credit card when you register online or by check (payable to Windsor Oaks Swim Team); however, your spot is not confirmed until payment is received. If you change your mind for any reason before April 22nd, you may contact our Co-Coordinator & Treasurer, Krista Tomiko, for a full refund.

A note about regular swim team vs. rookie league... swimmers who turn 5 years old by May 31, 2024 and are able to swim the length of the pool independently are eligible, but not obligated, to compete in swim meets. They will practice with the regular swim team. 3 and 4 year olds are not able to compete in meets due to league guidelines and will practice with the Rookies. Some of our younger swimmers who are not yet confident in the water may be moved to the Rookie group for more focused instruction; however, they can always be promoted to regular practices, as soon as the coaches determine they are ready! We love our WOST coaches, and they are a HUGE part of what makes the season memorable.
